I reimagined this piece using Decoupage Rice Paper by Paper Designs A0 rice paper. The rice paper was applied and sealed using Pentart’s decoupage varnish and glue which is my go to medium.
I kept the outside of this one simple by painting it using Dixie Belle Paint Company’s Silk all in one paint in Anchor which is a matte black. The black paint frames the image beautifully and kept the focus where it needed to be which is on the beautiful ballerina paper.
The surprise element for this piece was accomplished by stamping the natural wood drawer sides with black ink and stamps from Re·design with Prima. (tutorial reel for this technique will be posted next week) I absolutely love applying  black ink over natural wood! It’s just such an eye catching design!
